The interview is the repo
We do not care how someone explains a binary tree on a whiteboard. We care what they merged last month. The code says everything the resume tries to hide.
Velocity is a moral position
Slow teams hide behind process. They invent rituals so nobody can tell who is producing and who is performing. A vibe coder breaks that game by shipping the feature before the kickoff meeting ends.
The test
Give a candidate a real task and a working laptop. Two hours. If they ship something you can deploy, hire them. If they ship a Notion doc, thank them and move on.
